  • Clare Pastorius

    FOUNDER and CHOIR Leader

    Clare started the choir to provide an opportunity for people to gather and sing in harmony with each other. She has been a singer all her life and knows the power of collective music making. She has gained personally from meeting up and singing in the choir and particularly likes making new arrangements of songs and writing new songs.

  • Carol Lockerman

    TRUSTEE and CHOIR MEMBER

    Carol retired to Wymondham after working in social housing for many years. She enjoys singing and discovered South Norfolk Community Choir some years ago. It’s a lively, inclusive group singing a variety of songs to suit all tastes. Carol was happy to become a trustee and become incolved with the running of the choir and determining its future.

  • Liz Lenaghan

    SECRETARY

    Liz is a health researcher and aware of the increasing evidence of all the positive impacts that group singing can have on our physical and mental health but, more importantly, knows from personal experience that it’s great fun! She discovered the world of community choirs about 12 years ago and has sung in a number of choirs and small groups in and around Norwich.

  • Jill Maidment

    TREASURER

    Jill has recently retired from working as a scientist at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. She has enjoyed singing with others for many years, mostly at local folk clubs. When SNCC started Jill was keen to support the group as she recognises it’s value to the community by spreading the joy of singing as part of a group.

  • Gill Tyas

    TRUSTEE and CHOIR MEMBER

    Gill is a semi-retired Registered General Nurse. She joined South Norfolk Community Choir right at the start and enjoys the participation. learning challenges and the wellbeing effects from singing with others. Over time she has grown in confidence in her abilty to sing harmony parts. Gill is the trustee with responsibility for safeguarding and is also one of our first aiders.

    Liz is a semi-retired health visitor and nurse who has supported people her whole career. She supports choir in tackling loneliness and isolation .
